Impacto del Compromiso Familiar en el Rendimiento Financiero de las Empresas Familiares

Resumen

Justificación: el compromiso familiar influye en el desempeño de las empresas familiares, pero sus efectos varían según condiciones internas y externas; por ello, se requirió una síntesis actualizada de las investigaciones recientes para orientar la toma de decisiones estratégicas. Objetivos: se pretendió describir e interpretar los hallazgos de estudios publicados entre 2022 y 2025 que examinaron la relación entre compromiso familiar y rendimiento financiero en empresas familiares. Metodología: se aplicó la metodología PRISMA para realizar una revisión sistemática en las bases de datos Scopus y Web of Science; a partir de 3 896 registros identificados se seleccionaron 48 artículos que cumplían criterios de relevancia, acceso abierto, idioma y enfoque cuantitativo. Resultados: los estudios mostraron que el compromiso familiar pudo favorecer o perjudicar el rendimiento financiero según el tipo de liderazgo, la generación en control, el contexto institucional y el énfasis en objetivos socioemocionales; además, se observó un desempeño superior en situaciones de crisis y una menor inversión en innovación en algunos casos. Conclusiones: el compromiso familiar es una variable compleja cuyo impacto varió según factores contextuales; su gestión adecuada puede generar ventajas competitivas sostenibles, mientras que la ausencia de estructuras profesionales puede limitar la eficacia de las decisiones económicas.
