Copyright and Permissions
Authors retain the copyright to their contributions while granting the journal the right to disseminate and edit the accepted works. Authors maintain control over the future use of their works, including the ability to share preprint or postprint versions in institutional repositories and academic networks. However, in doing so, authors agree to provide proper attribution to Erevna Research Reports as the original source of the publication. This policy seeks to balance the preservation of the author’s intellectual property with the journal’s ability to disseminate and enhance the presentation of published works.
Authorship and Contribution
Authorship in a study or research project recognizes and credits the contributions made by each researcher involved. It implies that an author not only participated in the study but also assumes responsibility for the content, results, and conclusions of the published work. Being an author means more than merely participating in the study; it entails taking responsibility for its content, results, and conclusions. In this context, at Erevna Research Reports, we consider an individual to be an author of a published work if they have made a significant intellectual contribution.
The criteria for authorship should be based on:
- A significant contribution to the conception or design of the study, as well as to the acquisition, analysis, and interpretation of data;
- Participation in drafting the work or in its critical revision;
- Approval of the final version for publication;
- An agreement to be responsible for all aspects of the work, ensuring that any issues regarding its accuracy or integrity are appropriately investigated and resolved.
When an article is submitted for consideration, it is crucial that all authors reach a consensus regarding their contributions and the order in which they will be listed as co-authors. The determination of the authors’ order should be based on criteria agreed upon by consensus among the group of authors, and it may be useful to employ the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) to specify each author’s contribution to the work.
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that this agreement is reached, making sure that all authors have agreed to be listed and have approved the submission of the manuscript to the journal.
Any changes to the order of authors or the inclusion/exclusion of authors from the list after the manuscript has been submitted must be requested along with a detailed explanation and a consent statement signed by all involved parties. It is important to note that no changes to authorship are allowed once the manuscript has been accepted for publication.
Conflicts of Interest
In order to maintain the integrity and credibility of academic research and allow readers to evaluate the objectivity and impartiality of the results presented in Erevna Research Reports publications, all authors must provide an explicit statement of any conflicts of interest when submitting their manuscript for editorial consideration. This includes, but is not limited to, financial, personal, or professional relationships that may bias the study or its conclusions. This statement will be included in the published article when necessary.
Adhering to this policy helps avoid unintentional bias and protects the integrity of the peer review process. Complying with these regulations is essential to maintain transparency and quality in all our publications, ensuring our readers’ trust in the research we publish.
